Overview
SSENSE, a premier digital commerce retailer specializing in luxury fashion, streetwear, and independent designers, required a modern integrated warehouse management system. Manual data entry was causing inventory inaccuracies, shipment tracking errors, and order delays. iResponsive executed a full WMS implementation integrating HighJump WMS with Dematic WMS and SSENSE's STYBO master data management system, automating 10 distinct integration workflows across inbound, outbound, returns, and product data synchronization.

The Challenge
SSENSE's warehouse operations were heavily dependent on manual processes. Data entry errors were causing inventory inaccuracies and shipment discrepancies. Inconsistent synchronization between the WMS and SSENSE's MDM system (STYBO) created siloed data where product measurement information from external sources was often missing or outdated. Customer return processing was slow, causing delayed refunds that damaged customer satisfaction. Vendor return procedures were complicated and straining supplier relationships. The system simply couldn't scale to handle SSENSE's rapid growth across product lines and international markets.
Our Approach
iResponsive executed a full historical data migration from HighJump into Dematic WMS, then built automated synchronization workflows connecting all three systems. Ten specific integration streams were implemented: supplier inbound shipment integration, customer returns with real-time inventory updates, store and studio returns, return-to-vendor (RTV) processing, customer outbound shipment automation, store and studio outbound tracking, product creation and update integration, and detailed product measurement synchronization from multiple external sources. All WMS master data was connected to automated updates from STYBO, eliminating manual entry requirements.
The Outcome
Manual processes and human errors were drastically reduced across all warehouse operations. Real-time data accuracy was achieved across HighJump WMS, Dematic WMS, and STYBO simultaneously. Order fulfillment - from picking through packing to shipping - became automated and reliable. Customer refunds and exchanges were processed significantly faster. Vendor return management became systematic and transparent. The warehouse infrastructure was positioned to scale with SSENSE's continued growth into new product lines and geographic markets.
